[28 July 2014] The City of Cape Town is in the process of drafting a Telecommunication Infrastructure Policy which will provide guidance to telecommunications providers and municipal decision-makers as regards the deployment of electronic communications facilities and networks. The City has given notice in terms of Section 17 of the Local Government Municipal Systems Act that its Council will provide the public and interested parties or groups with the opportunity to submit comments, input or recommendation to the municipality for a period of 30 days from 1 to 31 August 2014.
