[9 October 2022] ZADNA has confirmed that the draft regulations have been sent to the State Law Advisor for review with “minimal changes”. The new framework should be place in the next 3-4 months.

[22 April 2022] The .ZA Domain Name Authority (.ZADNA) has published Draft .ZA Registry and Registrar Licensing Regulations and Procedures for public comment.

The purpose of the draft regulations – created under section 68 of the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act 2002 – is to
prescribe the requirements which Registries and Registrars must meet to be licensed and the terms and conditions applicable to all Registries and Registrars.

[17 September 2018] ZADNA has released a .za Registrar Fee review notice for comments, feedback and/or proposals regarding the review of the wholesale fee that applies to the .za second level domains. ZADNA members, .ZA SLD Registry Operators, .ZA Registrars, Registrants (i.e. holders of domain names), the South African Internet Community and the South African Public are invited to to provide their inputs on the matter by 15 October 2018 to ZADNA via email at submissions@zadna.org.za.
