[28 August 2014] On 25 August the South African Revenue Service (SARS) published new rules on how it deals with tax-payers and others that communicate with it using electronic channels.

The new rules should be read together with the rules applicable to keeping of records in electronic form published on 1 October 2012 in terms of section 30(1)(b) of the Tax Administration Act of 2011.
