Discussion Paper on IPTV
ICASA have initiated a process which will eventually lead to the licensing and regulation of IPTV and Video on Demand (VOD) services. This a particularly tricky area for regulators as it showcases convergence between the regulation of broadcasting and telecommunications.
Comments are due by 26 March 2010 with public hearings scheduled for 8 & 9 April.
